Sabres Introduce Tim Murray As New GM, Craig Patrick As Adviser

The Sabres today announced that they have hired Tim Murray as their new GM and Craig Patrick as a Special Assistant and adviser to the hockey department. Murray most recently served as Senators Assistant GM, and praise for his "evaluating skills has been universal." The team also was "known to be high" on Bruins Assistant GM Jim Benning, but the Boston franchise "apparently did not want Benning to leave for another job until after the Olympics" (BUFFALONEWS.com, 1/9).

The NHL today rescheduled Tuesday's postponed Hurricanes-Sabres game for Tuesday, Feb. 25, in Buffalo (NHL).
