Andre Silva Leaving ATP To Join Agency Founded By Federer, Godsick
Sources said ATP Dir of Player Services Andre Silva is leaving the tour to join the management agency founded by Roger Federer and Tony Godsick, the star player’s agent. Silva, who also was the tournament director for the season ending championships, leaves the ATP on Dec. 31. The ATP confirmed his departure. Godsick and Silva did not reply for comment.
Silva would represent Godsick’s first major hire since he and Federer broke away from IMG almost two years ago. The firm, at times called RF Management, was billed as representing more than just Federer, though to date there have been no other players known to be represented by the firm. That might be changing with the hire of Silva, a popular figure in the ATP among players.
