Martin Truex Jr. Going To Furniture Row Racing In Multiyear Deal
Furniture Row Racing on Friday formally announced a multiyear deal for Martin Truex Jr. to drive for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series team. Furniture Row had an open seat in its No. 78 Chevy "thanks to the departure of Kurt Busch to Stewart-Haas Racing." Truex Jr., who drove for Michael Waltrip Racing this season, was allowed to negotiate with other teams after losing sponsor NAPA following the race manipulation incident at Richmond Int'l Raceway (USATODAY.com, 11/1).
