"Batman Vs. Superman" Will Depict Under Armour-Sponsored Teams
Filming for "Batman vs. Superman" includes a shoot Saturday set amid a fictitious football game, and the fictional teams' jerseys feature Under Armour marks. The film will shoot during halftime of the Victor Valley College-East L.A. College game at ELAC's Weingart Stadium. Director Zach Snyder "only plans to shoot for 20 minutes." Weingart Stadium "will be made into the backdrop for a football game between Gotham City University and rival Metropolis State University" (BATMAN-NEWS.com, 10/18).
This comes after Warner Bros. Consumer Products and DC Entertainment partnered with UA for a super hero-themed line of apparel. UA also appeared on the uniforms of the fictional Gotham Rogues pro football team depicted in "The Dark Knight Rises" (THE DAILY).
