Multiple Buccaneers players have been diagnosed with MRSA infections, and the NFLPA "could advise" the Bucs and Eagles not to play this weekend's game in Tampa "depending on what MRSA containment report says" (TWITTER.com, 10/11).

VH1 and the NFL are planning six live concert shows in the N.Y./New Jersey area ahead of the Feb. 3 Super Bowl at MetLife Stadium. Performers for the VH1 Super Bowl Blitz will be announced at a later date (VH1).

Dallas police are investigating allegations that Pro Football HOFer Deion Sanders "assaulted a colleague at the Oak Cliff charter school Sanders co-founded." Prime Prep Academy in a statement said that Sanders is "no longer affiliated with the school" (DALLASNEWS.com, 10/11).

Fuse Science announced an endorsement deal with NHL Panthers LW Kris Versteeg, who will appear in national ad campaigns for the company (Fuse Science).

Lilly Diabetes will be an associate sponsor of Roush Fenway Racing's No. 16 Ford driven by Ryan Reed for the remainder of the '13 NASCAR Nationwide Series season and for all of next season. The car's primary sponsor is the American Diabetes Association (Lilly Diabetes).
