NBCSN Cancels Michelle Beadle's "The Crossover" Studio Show

NBCSN has cancelled its “low-rated” studio show “The Crossover,” hosted by Michelle Beadle, with the net looking for an “expansion of NFL programming and NHL season starting" (TWITTER.com, 9/25). The show's cancellation comes as “something of a surprise, given that it first aired in late January, right before the Super Bowl, and then got a facelift in May when NBC yanked her co-host, Dave Briggs off the show” (THEBIGLEAD.com, 9/25). The show recently changed timeslots and format and most recently was "preempted by America's Cup sailing on a routine basis” (AWFULANNOUNCING.com, 8/25).

Beadle tweeted: "Crossover is donzo. Thanks 2 the crew who tried their damnedest. I'll let ya know what's next. Access Hollywood on NBC-Blake Shelton 2nite" (TWITTER.com, 9/25). NBCSN implied the end of the show in a release today was due to adjustments to its programming. Beadle’s show most recently ran in the 5:00pmET time slot. NBCSN’s new fall schedule includes NFL shows in that slot each day of the week. Beadle also recently discussed challenges in promoting her show (THE DAILY).
