Reds Line Up Discounts In Effort To Set Attendance Record
The Reds are "pulling out all the stops in an effort to break the Great American Ball Park attendance record," with the latest promotion being a Groupon offer that makes tickets for this week's series against the Cubs available for "roughly half price." The ballpark's previous attendance record of 2,355,259 was set in its inaugural season of '03. The club is on pace to draw more than 2.5 million fans this season. They are "pacing slightly behind the franchise record of 2,629,708 who came to Riverfront Stadium" in '76 (BIZJOURNALS.com, 9/9).
