MLB this weekend is rolling out new creative for its "We Play for October" postseason campaign. The first spots launch Friday on MLB.com and MLBFanCave.com and will debut on TV Saturday on "Fox Saturday Baseball" (MLB).

ESPN will acquire the Heart of Dallas Bowl. The '14 game is set for Jan. 1, with schools from Conference USA and the Big Ten. This will be the 10th ESPN-owned college bowl game (THE DAILY).

The Buccaneers have signed PODS Moving & Storage to a multiyear sponsorship agreement, making the Florida-based company the team's official moving and storage provider (Buccaneers).

Del Mar Thoroughbred Club, which wrapped up its summer meeting earlier this week, averaged $2,452,080 a day in on-track handle, up 3.7% from a year ago (DRF.com, 9/5).
