NBC Sports, Yahoo Sports Further Collaborate For New Shows

NBC Sports and Yahoo Sports have created two new sports programs marking a further outgrowth of their existing strategic alliance. "SportsDash with Yahoo Sports" will debut Aug. 19 and appear weekdays from 12:00-1:00pm ET on NBC Sports Network. The program will focus on breaking and trending sports news and topics, in part using social media and Yahoo search data to determine what is trending among fans each day. The program will be hosted by NBC Sports' Dave Briggs and Carolyn Manno and regularly feature Yahoo and NBC Sports writers. A complementary digital-only extension of "SportsDash" will stream live on Yahoo Sports and NBCSports.com.

The other program will be weekly "Fantasy Football Live – Thursday Night," debuting this week in the 6:30-7:00pm window on NBCSN, with a subsequent digital-only version on the two sites from 7:00-7:30pm. This program builds upon Yahoo's existing Sunday offering of "Fantasy Football Live," and will be hosted by NBC Sports' Erik Kuselias. "Given the digital success we've already experienced with Yahoo Sports, we are thrilled to be extending our strategic alliance to new heights with not one, but two new programs that cut across both linear and digital," said NBC Sports Group Senior VP & GM of Digital Media Rick Cordella.
