Rutgers and IMG College have agreed to an 11-year multimedia rights and sponsorship deal through '24. The agreement includes representation and management of game broadcasts and coaches' shows, digital assets, corporate partnerships, signage, promotions and hospitality (IMG College).

Sony Pictures Classics has picked up Alex Gibney's documentary about Lance Armstrong "for worldwide release." The film, titled "The Armstrong Lie," chronicles the "last several years of the cyclist's life and career" (HOLLYWOODREPORTER.com, 7/24).

USA Basketball today named new Big East Commissioner Val Ackerman the recipient of the '13 Edward S. Steitz Award for her contributions to int'l basketball. She will receive her award tonight at a reception in Las Vegas (USA Basketball).

Nestle's Nestea Iced Tea brand has agreed to sponsor the Int'l Volleyball Federation (FIVB) World Tour. This comes amid this week's ASICS World Series of Beach Volleyball, which lasts through Sunday in Long Beach, Calif. (Nestle).

SI this week features Seahawks CB Richard Sherman on the cover with the header, "You Happy, Bro?" The magazine profiles Sherman and calls him "the NFL's most voluble player" (THE DAILY).
