Fox Unveils On-Air Talent For "Crowd Goes W!ld" Show On FS1
Fox Sports today unveiled the on-air talent lineup for the FS1 sports talk show "Crowd Goes W!ld," hosted by Regis Philbin. Contributors will include the Wall Street Journal's Jason Gay, comedian Michael Kosta, former NFLer Trevor Pryce and Sky Sports' Georgie Thompson. Katie Nolan will serve as social media correspondent. At a press event in N.Y., exec producer Michael Davies said the show plans to be a mix of entertainment and sports, featuring a daily guest star who will come from sports or entertainment. He said the show will stay away from “contrived” debate. Davies: “Debate rarely has just two sides. We want to represent those multiple points of view.”
Also today, Fox Sports released the online version of a 90-second spot promoting the Aug. 17 launch of its new FS1 national sports network. The ad, shot in multiple locations and featuring a slew of high-profile athletes, will begin appearing on TV tomorrow during Fox' broadcast of the MLB All-Star Game (THE DAILY).
