Source: 76ers Have Parted Ways With CEO Adam Aron
A source confirmed that the 76ers "have fired" CEO Adam Aron. It was first reported by Howard Eskin of Philadelphia-area TV station WTFX-Fox via his Twitter feed that the team "had parted ways" with Aron. In addition to his CEO title, Aron "had an ownership stake in the team," and it is "unknown if he still does" (PHILLY.com, 6/24). This follows a Twitter report from the N.Y. Daily News' Frank Isola late last week that former MSG President Scott O'Neil is "close to landing an executive position with Sixers" (TWITTER.com, 6/21).
