Pats Asked Hernandez To Leave Gillette; Cytosport Ends Sponsorship
Patriots security, upon “consultation with owner Robert Kraft and perhaps other decision-makers,” asked TE Aaron Hernandez to leave Gillette Stadium on Thursday because they “didn't feel the stadium should be the site of a media stakeout,” according to a source. Hernandez, who is being investigated in connection with a murder, was at the stadium for about 35 minutes before security "asked him to leave and escorted him out and away from the media." It is "still unclear" why Hernandez was at the stadium (NFL.com, 6/21).
Meanwhile, CytoSport is "immediately terminating its endorsement contract" with Hernandez for its Muscle Milk brand (TWITTER.com, 6/21).
