UCF Reaches Arena Naming-Rights Deal With CFE Credit Union
The Univ. of Central Florida at today's Board of Trustees meeting announced a naming-rights deal for its arena with the CFE Federal Credit Union. The deal, under which the venue will be named CFE Federal Credit Union Arena or CFE Arena, is worth $3.95M and "will span seven years." The money "will go toward the Knights Plaza project debt and will be paid annually" from '13-19 (CENTRALFLORIDAFUTURE.com, 5/23).
Meanwhile, sources said that SECU is "finalizing a deal for the naming rights" of Towson Univ.'s new 5,200-seat arena. Sources added that the deal is "not yet complete" but is "expected to be announced with the next few months" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 5/23).
