Sources said that the AHL has "approved a request to return the name" of the Hartford Whale to the Hartford Wolf Pack, with "an announcement from team owner Madison Square Garden expected this week" (CONNECTICUT.CBSLOCAL.com, 4/23). The team was called the Wolf Pack from '97 until it was rebranded as the Whale in '10 (COURANT.com, 4/23).

The NFL Jets’ website is not selling merchandise featuring CB Darrelle Revis, whom the team traded to the Buccaneers on Sunday. The team, however, is still selling merchandise of other players not on this year’s roster (THE DAILY).
