CBS Sports and the soon-to-be-renamed Big East Conference today agreed to a rights deal for men's basketball games through the '19-20 season. Per the deal, CBS Sports retains the right to have the first selections among conference, non-conference and neutral-site games, for up to 12 appearances per year (CBS).

Smooth Fitness today named Gold Medal-winning U.S. figure skater Dorothy Hamill a spokesperson for its exercise equipment (Smooth Fitness).

The Univ. of Northern Iowa has agreed to a partnership with IMG Learfield Ticket Solutions (IMG Learfield).

Competitor Group today announced Johnson & Johnson as the title sponsor for the TriRock Philadelphia Triathlon on June 22 and 23 (CGI).

Circuit of the Americas has agreed to sponsor the Univ. of Texas-Austin Solar Vehicles Team, which will compete at the track June 24-29 in the Formula Sun Grand Prix. The $50,000 sponsorship "will help pay for the production of the student organization's solar cars" and cost for photovoltaic panels (BIZJOURNALS.com, 3/26).
