NBC Sports Network To Debut "MLS Breakaway" Whip-Around Show
NBC Sports Network on Saturday is rolling out MLS Breakaway, a "two-and-a-half-hour whip-around show" bookended by "three full-game broadcasts" on NBC and NBCSN featuring some of "the league's top rivalry games." The studio team of Arlo White, Kyle Martino and Russ Thaler will call the show from the Stamford, Conn., studios from 5:30-8:00pm ET. The idea for NFL RedZone-style MLS coverage "came from league employees" Marisabel Munoz and Simon Borg, and NBC "embraced the idea" (SI.com, 3/14).
MLS WORKS on Friday unveiled a new PSA as part of the league's ongoing anti-discrimination campaign, "Don't Cross The Line." Elements of the campaign will be revealed throughout the '13 season (MLS WORKS).
