NBA Trade Deadline Comes And Goes With No Marquee Moves

The NBA trade deadline came and went rather quietly today. Rather than any marquee stars moving, the deals reported so far involve names such as J.J. Redick, Jordan CrawfordHakim Warrick and Sebastian Telfair (THE DAILY).

NBA TV’s Jeff Caplan noted he talked with Mavericks Owner Mark Cuban prior to last night’s game against the Magic, and Cuban said that talk around the league regarding making trades before the deadline was “about as low as he’s heard it in, really since his ownership, 13 years now.” Caplan said of the lack of trades, “A lot of that is because of the CBA and the ramifications that really start taking effect next season” (“NBA GameTime,” NBA TV, 2/20).
