NBC Sports, Jockey Club Collaborate For Kentucky Derby Prep Series

NBC Sports Group and the Jockey Club today announced details of "The Road to the Kentucky Derby" series, which will begin with a 30-minute special previewing the Triple Crown season on NBC Sports Network on March 23. The series will provide coverage of six major prep races for this year's Kentucky Derby on May 4 (NBCUniversal). The Jockey Club last year decided to "underwrite a series of broadcasts for Triple Crown preps as part of a five-year commitment to fund racing marketing initiatives" (DRF.com, 2/12).
