Cardinals, Cordish Co. Host Groundbreaking For Ballpark Village

MLB Cardinals execs, Cordish Co. officials and area political leaders gathered at the site of the Ballpark Village project Friday for the official groundbreaking ceremony. This comes after the team on Thursday "released new images" of the $100M first phase of the planned development, "showing a Budweiser Brew House and Live! at Ballpark Village entertainment area" (STLTODAY.com, 2/8). Among those who spoke during the event were St. Louis Mayor Francis Slay, Cardinals play-by-play announcer Dan McLaughlin, Chair & CEO Bill Dewitt Jr., and Cordish VP/Development Blake Cordish (KMOV.com, 2/8).
