The Bills formally announced a renewal of their deal with Rogers Media to play one regular-season game a year at Rogers Centre over the next five seasons, and one preseason game in that span (THEGLOBEANDMAIL.com, 1/29).

The Univ. of Missouri today announced a gift of about $8.3M to the athletics department from Don and Audrey Walsworth that will go toward "facilities improvements and expansions, including renovations to Faurot Field" (STLTODAY.com, 1/29).

The Lions announced that the FieldTurf surface at Ford Field is being upgraded with a new FieldTurf Classic HD surface. The installation begins today and is scheduled to be completed in late February (Lions).

The Devils have signed Lawns by Yorkshire as the Official Snow Removal Provider of Prudential Center. The company will get a specially-branded Zamboni at home games (Devils).

IHRA Entertainment – a joint venture between the owners of Memphis Int’l Raceway and Palm Beach Int’l Raceway – has purchased the Int’l Hot Rod Association from Feld Motor Sports (IHRA).

The Harlem Globetrotters and Susan G. Komen for the Cure are teaming up to raise funds for breast cancer research. The Globetrotters will play a portion of their '13 games with specially-designed pink basketballs (Harlem Globetrotters).
