NASCAR.com Relaunches With Minimal Issues, Receiving Mostly Praise

As noted in today's Morning Buzz, NASCAR.com relaunched today with '12 Sprint Cup Series champion Brad Keselowski giving a video tour of the new site and its functions. NASCAR VP/Digital Media Marc Jenkins told THE DAILY today the site had "minor glitches here and there, most of which weren't seen by the fan." Jenkins: "There were formatting issues in deeper pages. They were easy to solve." Jenkins said most of his staff "didn't leave (Wednesday) night until one or two, or three o'clock in the morning. They didn't have to be here. They just wanted to see it" (THE DAILY).

Reaction to the relaunch on Twitter has been mostly positive. MLS Exec VP/Communications Dan Courtemanche tweeted, "I like the new-look NASCAR.com. Simple and very contemporary. Well done." NASCAR blogger Rob Blount wrote, “The new nascar.com is interesting. VERY different. Not sure if I like it yet.” WCNC-NBC’s Brad Panovich: “The new NASCAR.com is awesome should be a blueprint for TV websites.”
