ESPN's Hannah Storm Returns To TV After Gas Grill Accident
ESPN's Hannah Storm on Tuesday served as co-host of ABC's coverage of the Rose Bowl parade, returning to TV "less than a month after suffering serious burns in a propane grill accident." Storm suffered first- and second-degree burns and "lost her eyebrows, eyelashes and much of her hair" last month when a gas grill she was using exploded. The only on-camera evidence of the accident was Storm's bandaged left hand. Co-host Josh Elliott said to Storm: "The healing process has begun, and you look as good as ever" (CNN.com, 1/1). Storm plans to return to ESPN's "SportsCenter" next Sunday (ABCNEWS.com, 1/1).
