Cavaliers Agree To Make Arena More Accessible To Disabled Fans
The Cavaliers and the U.S. Department of Justice today reached a settlement designed to improve Quicken Loans Arena "for fans with disabilities." Per the deal, the Cavaliers agree to "provide at least 110 wheelchair spaces at the arena, with an equal number of companion seats," and make other efforts to "ensure that people with disabilities are provided accessible seating." The team also will "include captioning on scoreboards and video monitors." Many of the provisions "are expected to be enacted within 30 days" (CLEVELAND.com, 12/13).
