Less-Than-Capacity Crowd Expected For ACC Championship Game

A "less-than-capacity crowd is expected" for Saturday's Florida State-Georgia Tech Dr Pepper ACC Football Championship at Bank of America Stadium, following two sellout crowds of 72,000-plus for the first two ACC title games at the venue. Will Webb, Exec Dir of game operator Charlotte Collegiate Football, said that approximately 59,000 tickets have been sold. Webb: "It's just one of those years."

After the ACC title game, Webb "will focus on securing teams to play in the Belk Bowl" on Dec. 27. Webb said that "in all likelihood," Duke "will be the ACC representative in Charlotte." Webb added that he "expects the Blue Devils' first bowl game in nearly two decades will push ticket sales" (CHARLOTTE OBSERVER, 11/30).
