The NCAA, Big 12, Cowboys and North Texas Final Four Host Committee today unveiled the logo for the '14 NCAA men's basketball Final Four at Cowboys Stadium (THE DAILY).

News Corp. has "completed the purchase of ESPN Star Sports, a 50-50 venture it had with ESPN." A deal for Star Sports, which features sports in 24 countries in Asia through its 25 television networks and three broadband networks, was formally announced in June. Financial terms were not disclosed (BIZJOURNALS.com, 11/8).

AC Milan announced that it will open a soccer academy in Detroit next year, marking the team's "fourth academy worldwide, and the first in the United States." The team's other academies are located in Dubai, Hong Kong and Sydney, Australia (MLIVE.com, 11/8).

Go Daddy and The Bob & Renee Parsons Foundation today announced an initiative to match all donations to the Semper Fi Fund up to $1M. Go Daddy endorser Danica Patrick and her NASCAR team owner Tony Stewart were on hand for the announcement in Phoenix (Go Daddy).

Former UnitedHealth Group CEO William McGuire today was announced as the principal owner of the NASL Minnesota Stars, which were "on the verge of being disbanded in a league vote less than two weeks ago." Terms of the deal, to be completed soon, were not released (Minneapolis STAR TRIBUNE, 11/8).

The NFL will hold 10 regional combines and a '13 super regional combine beginning in late January. The combines will serve as "a supplement to the NFL's national scouting combine in Indianapolis in late February" (AP, 11/8).

Ravens RB Ray Rice has "decided to purchase an interest" in VertiMax, which develops athletic training systems (FORBES.com, 11/8).
