MLB Running First Playoff Spots During All-Star Game On Fox

MLB will use tonight's All-Star Game broadcast on Fox to break the first TV promo for postseason telecasts. A 60-second ad from Turner Senior VP/Production & Exec Creative Dir Craig Barry is a montage of great performances from the first half of the MLB season, including Giants P Matt Cain's perfect game, Nationals LF Bryce Harper's rookie accomplishments, Mets P R.A. Dickey's consecutive one-hitters and Mets P Johan Santana's no-hitter.

The spot ends with the tagline "No stops on the road to October" and encourages viewers to watch postseason baseball on Fox and TBS. "We felt that the All-Star Game gave us a really good opportunity to leverage all the great performances in the first half," said MLB CMO Jacqueline Parkes. The spot will also be seen on MLB Network and MLB.com tonight.

The All-Star Game broadcast also will include a vignette that is part of Chevrolet's integrated buy with Fox Sports Media Group for the Diamonds & Dreams baseball field refurbishment program. The buy includes eight 15-second vignettes to run during Fox' Saturday Baseball Game of the Week and on FoxSports.com. The spots are voiced by Fox' Ken Rosenthal. The spot airing tonight focuses on a refurbishment project in the Greater Milwaukee area.
