NFL Will Go Ahead With Pro Bowl In Honolulu Following '12 Season

The NFL and NFLPA are going ahead with plans for the '13 Pro Bowl, which will be played at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu for the 33rd time on Jan. 27. NBC will air live coverage starting at 7:00pm ET. This comes amid uncertainty about the future of the game given the quality of play in recent years. NFL Exec VP/Football Operations Ray Anderson said in a statement, "The players have made it clear through the NFL Players Association that they would like the opportunity to continue to play the Pro Bowl in Hawaii" (THE DAILY).

San Diego Union-Tribune Sports Editor Jay Posner wrote on his Twitter feed, “Not a good day for NFL ... league says Pro Bowl will be played (in Hawaii) and Warren Sapp will be back on NFL Network. What's third strike?” ESPN N.Y.’s Jane McManus wrote, “The 2013 NFL Pro Bowl will be in Hawaii. So you can enjoy the least interesting of pro All-Star games for at least one more season.” The L.A. Times’ Joe Flint: “Phew! There will be Pro Bowl played next year. I was so worried. Seriously, wouldn't punt, pass, kick competition be more fun?”
