Lynch Leaving IMG Golf As Defections From Company Continue
IMG Golf suffered another blow yesterday when one of its top agents and recruiters among the amateur golf ranks, Kevin Lynch, decided to leave the company. A five-year IMG Golf veteran and a former college golf coach, Lynch worked closely with IMG golfers Kevin Na and Jamie Lovemark. The former coach at Kent State, Richmond and Northwestern also was credited with identifying young golfers Ryo Ishikawa, Matteo Manassero and Matt Hill, and helping bring them into the IMG ranks. Golf.com in '10 listed Lynch on its 40 most influential people under 40 years old.
Lynch’s departure comes on the heels of Jon Wagner’s exit from IMG two weeks ago. Wagner was co-Managing Dir of IMG Golf Americas.
