BBVA Places Logos On Back Of NBA D-League Playoff Jerseys

The NBA D-League and BBVA today formally announced that the Spain-based bank's logo will be featured on the backs of all NBA D-League jerseys during this year's playoffs. This marks the first time a league marketing partner other than uniform provider adidas will receive brand exposure on D-League team jerseys. BBVA also will have in-arena postseason presence, with branding on pole pads, court decals, seatbacks and courtside signage during games covered by NBA TV (BBVA).

League officials "would not disclose the financial arrangements of the deal." BBVA is also an NBA marketing partner, and the move marks "another step in the NBA's test of jersey sponsorship" (SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL, 4/16 issue).
