20th Century Fox and Lucasfilm Ltd. will promote the upcoming film "Red Tails" as part of an exclusive two-week sponsorship on ESPN's Martin Luther King, Jr., coverage. The sponsorship will include placement in "SportsCenter," "OTL," "NBA Tonight" and "NFL Live." The film also will have the presenting sponsorship on the Friday night telecast, "Content of Character" (John Ourand, THE DAILY).

EPL club Wolverhampton has agreed to a partnership with Global Image Sports, to launch its North American soccer academy. Phase one of the project "will see Wolves' Academy partner with a select number of youth soccer clubs across the United States and Canada" (FCBUSINESS.co.uk, 1/11).

Microsoft's Xbox Kinect has "signed on as the marquee sponsor" of Sunday's Texans-Ravens playoff game at M&T Bank Stadium, "a deal valued at more than $250,000." The deal marks the fifth "gameday sponsor" the team has signed this season. Previous sponsors have been Constellation Energy Group, Verizon, Snapple and the National Guard (BIZJOURNALS.com, 1/11).

MLB Network today announced the launch of "Baseball IQ," a baseball trivia game show that will be hosted by Matt Vasgersian. The show will debut on Jan. 24 (MLB Network).

The Professional Bull Riders today announced that it has extended its partnership with Lucas Oil to be the exclusive automobile motor oil/additive, fuel treatment and lubcricant manufacturer of the PBR (PBR).
