MSG Finalizes Deal For Spero Dedes To Become Knicks' Radio Voice

MSG has “finalized the long-expected hiring” of Spero Dedes as the Knicks' radio play-by-play announcer on ESPN Radio 1050 N.Y. and “backup to Mike Breen on MSG's television coverage.” Dedes spent the previous six seasons calling Lakers games. He said, “When I was a broadcast student at Fordham all I dreamt about was what it would feel like to be a Knicks announcer and now it's become reality” (NEWSDAY.com, 8/4).
