MLB Posts Strong Weekend Attendance Numbers For 45 Games

MLB drew 1.646 million fans for its 45 scheduled games Friday-Sunday (June 17-19), its largest attendance for a 45-game weekend slate of games since Sept. 26-28, 2008. Overall, it was also the most highly attended MLB weekend since a 46-game set of games July 21-24, 2009, drew 1.684 million. Yesterday alone drew 572,446 for 15 games, the league's highest individual day for attendance since Aug. 14, 2010, a Saturday. Only two other single days in '10 surpassed yesterday's draw.
