Big Ten Network Rebrands As BTN, Unveils New Logo

The Big Ten Network today announced a rebranding of the network, which will now be called BTN, accompanied by a new logo and Web domain of BTN.com. The net will use the new logo as a basis for creating school-specific logos. A complete redesign of on-air graphics, animation and music packages will debut during coverage of the Big Ten Football Media Days and Kickoff Luncheon in July. The net next month plans to unveil the first in a series of new ventures across digital platforms (BTN).

BTN President Mark Silverman said, "Most of the people in the conference already call it BTN. It happened on its own. We now want to be able to reflect that on air" (DETROIT FREE PRESS, 5/29).
