NASCAR Unveils '11 TV Schedule; Speed To Air One Nationwide Race

NASCAR today released its '11 TV schedule. Regular-season Sprint Cup Series races in the Eastern and Central time zones will begin at 1:00pm ET; West Coast events will start at 3:00pm. Night races will start at 7:30pm, with the exception of the Coca-Cola 600 starting at 6:00pm. Chase for the Sprint Cup races will begin at 2:00pm, with the last three races starting at 3:00pm. Fox will air 13 Sprint Cup races, TNT will have six, and ESPN and ABC will carry the final 17 events. ABC, ESPN and ESPN2 will air 33 of the 34 Nationwide series races; Speed will air the April 29 Bubba Burger 250 at Richmond Int'l Raceway (NASCAR).

ESPN VP/Programming & Acquisitions Julie Sobieski said in a statement, "The Richmond race presented extraordinary scheduling challenges for us due to the NFL Draft and the NBA Playoffs. We are happy that NASCAR fans will be well-served with the race airing on Speed" (THE DAILY).
