Dr. Brian Hainline

Chief Medical Officer, NCAA

As the NCAA’s first chief medical officer, Hainline oversees the NCAA Sport Science Institute, a national center of excellence whose mission is to promote and develop safety, excellence, and wellness in college student athletes, and to foster life-long physical and mental development. He has been actively involved in sports medicine for over 30 years, including serving as Chief Medical Officer of the US Open Tennis Championships and the USTA. Hainline will provide a medical perspective on how the NCAA is taking proactive measures to protect the health and safety of college athletes, and what needs to be in place to see a return of intercollegiate athletics, whether it’s field hockey, football or cross country.
