BREAKOUT Q&A SESSIONS
Breakout #1 - Terry Lefton - The State of Sports Sponsorship, Marketing and Advertising
At a time when marketing and advertising budgets will be under great pressure with a global economic slowdown, SBJ’s Terry Lefton will offer his take on the current marketplace and whether brands will reallocate budgets or simply put everything on hold. In addition, what form of messaging and marketing can brands do in such an unsettled time to connect with consumers?

Breakout #2 - Ben Fischer, What’s Next for the Major Leagues and the Olympic Movement
All of the major leagues are facing great uncertainty as to when they will return to competition and what the landscape looks like when they do return.  The Olympic movement is also assessing the ramifications and logistical challenges of the Tokyo Games being postponed until 2021. SBJ’s Ben Fischer will provide a point of view of the decision-making and thinking behind each league and what to look for in the days ahead.

Breakout #3 - John Ourand, The Media Markets and the Road Ahead
The major media companies have lost significant market cap over the last three weeks and the promise of a robust marketplace for upcoming media rights has potentially been altered. SBJ media reporter John Ourand believes the market for the biggest media rights deal – for the NFL – remains as frothy as ever. The big question is whether a looming recession could affect some of the other sports rights deals that are on tap.
