Mark Rooks

Vice President, Community & Sports Matter Marketing, DICK’S Sporting Goods

Mark Rooks is an accomplished business leader with rich multi-channel marketing experience and a solid history of guiding marketing strategies for Fortune 500 companies. 

Throughout his career, he has proven adept at forging key relationships with strategic partners and developing brands through big idea thinking.  

In his current role as the VP of Community Marketing & Sports Matter at DICK'S Sporting Goods, Mark leads a community-based marketing organization that drives team sports sales and builds the DICK’S brand among youth sport NGBs, leagues, parents and fans.  Mark’s team has developed exclusive partnerships with leading youth sport organizations like Little League Baseball, Pop Warner Football & Cheer and US Youth Soccer representing over 8 million young athletes nationally.  

Mark also oversees corporate giving including our award-winning DICK’S Sporting Goods Foundation’s Sports Matter initiative.  Through grants and other support, our Sports Matter program has helped organizations, schools, and community teams across the country provide opportunities for youth to play sports, focusing on underserved communities.

Mark is originally from Brooklyn, NY, and is a graduate of Cornell University where he lettered in football.  He has an MBA from Cornell’s Johnson School of Business. 

Mark enjoys running and golf and he, his wife and three children live in just outside Pittsburgh, PA.
