Amy Gleeson is an expert in building brands and driving business, with a strong focus in partnership marketing. She is known for managing and developing high-performing teams, and for leading global integrated marketing campaigns for blue chip properties.
As LA 2028’s Chief Marketing Officer, Gleeson leads the organization’s innovative multi-channel brand and marketing strategy, diving deep into co-creation, storytelling and engagement in the journey to the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Prior to LA28, Gleeson spent 11 years at Visa, Inc. in strategic marketing roles, most recently as the senior director of global client innovation marketing and was head of Olympics marketing. Gleeson led integrated marketing campaigns for top shelf brands which shaped Visa’s global merchant marketing strategy. She oversaw the global communications and marketing for Vancouver 2010, London 2012 and Sochi 2014.
Throughout her career, Gleeson has provided senior marketing counsel to various organizations and brands, as a consultant with 100 YARDS and Altius Marketing. She started her career at Madison Square Garden.
Gleeson received her B.A. from the University of California, San Diego and a master’s in sport management from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. She was honored as a member of Sports Business Journal’s Forty Under 40 Class of 2013.
