Pete Giorgio

US Sports Leader, Deloitte LLP

Pete Giorgio is a Principal in Deloitte’s Strategy practice and is the leader of Deloitte’s U.S. Sports practice. Pete has been serving clients since 2000 in a range of industries including sports, hospitality, consumer products, retail, technology, publishing, financial services, and media.

In his work with clients, Pete has helped with issues in a number of different areas including strategic growth, customer acquisition, innovation, organization transformation, new business operations and implementation; and cross-unit integration. Recent projects include:

lWorking with multiple leagues and team to development fan engagement and revenue growth strategies
lHelping the United States Tennis Association build a new digital foundation and platform for growth to connect with tennis players and drive growth of the game
lWorking with the CEO of a leading college conference to build an organization and operating model to support its future growth
lHelping the United States Golf Association transform the ecosystem serving the sport and building a new, innovative customer focused business to support the transformation
lHelping the United States Olympic Committee develop a more robust support strategy for partners

Pete joined Monitor / Deloitte after spending time with multiple IT strategy and development consulting firms.  Prior to that, Pete served in the United States Air Force, achieving the rank of Captain.

Pete earned a B.A. in Computer Science from Amherst College where he was a four year varsity basketball player, three year starter, and still holds the single game rebounding record.

Pete currently lives in Belmont, MA with his wife and two children.  He spends his time coaching youth basketball, fishing, cooking, pretending to still be competitive in various men’s basketball leagues, and digging holes in golf courses with his four iron.
