Total Years Snowboarding: 9

Daina is cheerful, confident, energetic, cooperative, dependable, helpful, hardworking, adventurous, reliable, considerate, conscientious, friendly and FUN.  Daina says Special Olympics is full of all sorts of opportunities.  She participated in the 2013 World Winter Games in Korea. She says “I really can’t put it into words, how awesome it was, except for ‘WOW’ ‘Mind Blowing’.” She won a gold and two silvers.  She also had the amazing opportunity to compete in the Unified Sports Races with her role model, Hannah Teter. She always wants to try something new and challenging. She hopes to be a coach someday, because she sees how big of a difference they make in the world. Daina placed 3rd at X Games Aspen 2016 in the Unified Sports Dual Slalom with her unified partner Hannah Teter.  Hannah is Daina’s favorite snowboarder.
