Meredith Verdone is chief marketing officer at Bank of America responsible for all brand strategy and marketing across the organization. She also leads all paid media strategy, creative development, consumer research and analytics across the corporation.
Meredith started with Bank of America in 1999. During her 20 years at the company, she has focused on keeping the brand relevant and competitive. Most recently, Meredith led the 2018 rollout of the bank’s new brand positioning focused on the question, “What would you like the power to do?” The positioning builds on the bank’s approach to Responsible Growth and advances its purpose to help make financial lives better through the power of every connection.
Meredith is the recipient of the American Banker Most Powerful Women in Banking & Finance Award and has been named by Adweek as one of the Top 16 Tech Savvy CMTO’s. Under her leadership, her team has earned a number of industry accolades including awards from the Financial Communications Society and Advertising Research Foundation, as well as the Effie Award for effective marketing and the prestigious Cannes Lions.
Meredith is the Executive Sponsor for Bank of America’s Leadership, Education, Advocacy & Development for Women Boston Chapter, a member of the bank’s Global Diversity & Inclusion Council and serves on the Executive Board for the Ad Council and the Board of Directors for the ANA. She is also a trustee at Brooks School in North Andover, Massachusetts.
