During the past 36 years, Greg Brown has helped lead a remarkable evolution of Learfield and the collegiate sports landscape. In 2009, he became the company’s president and CEO, overseeing a growing sports marketing firm anchored by its multimedia rights management and sponsorship initiatives. Following the recently completed merger with IMG College, the company now manages multimedia rights for more than 200 collegiate institutions, conferences and arenas nationwide.
Greg has directed Learfield IMG College into its growth phase focused on creating dynamic solutions for its collegiate partners. Following a series of strategic acquisitions and innovations, Learfield IMG College unlocks the value of college sports for brands, fans and universities by providing access to licensing and multimedia sponsorship management, including publishing, broadcasting, digital and social media; fan engagement, ticket sales and professional concessions expertise; branding; campus-wide business and sponsorship development; and venue technology systems.
Throughout his career, Greg has been recognized for leadership in the college sports industry. The Sports Business Journal the past two years named him as one of the “50 Most Influential People in Sports Business.” He received the Entrepreneur of The Year® 2017 Southwest Technology and Media Services Award. In 2018, Learfield was inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame.
Greg serves on the National Football Foundation Board and remains deeply involved with numerous organizations, events and platforms vital to the overall development of collegiate athletics and sports-related charities.
