Jeff Chau

Mobile Esports Pro Player, Owner, Operator and Commentator

Jeff has been at ground zero for the beginning of mobile esports. He co-founded, was a pro player in Vainglory (2015) and Clash Royale (2016), and head of competitive for mobile focused esports org Hammers Esports where in Vainglory, he led his teams to set a Spring 2016 season record winning every major tournament culminating in NA Spring 2016 Champions and another record in Clash Royale winning back-to-back 2016 NA Crown Duel and EU EWSC Championships. He also founded Clan Royale League (CRL) back in 2016—which was one of the first team-based Clash Royale leagues and tournaments.

After Hammers Esports, Jeff joined Immortals Gaming Club as GM/Head of Mobile where the Vainglory team he assembled went on to become 2017 World Champions, Clash Royale team 2018 NA Champions, and Arena of Valor team qualified as Top 16 in the world for the 2018 Beijing International Honor of Kings Championship Cup. He also lead and fielded Team Liquid’s Arena of Valor team to compete at the Asia International Championship (AIC 2017) in South Korea where the AIC achieved a 2017 mobile esports record of 36M+ viewers.

In addition to his deep experience as a mobile esports pro player, org owner/operator, Jeff also was the English Commentator Talent for the 18th Asia Games Jakarta-Palembang—where esports was included for the first time in history as a demonstration medal event—and commentator for world’s largest mobile esports game Honor of Kings at the World Cyber Games Xi'an 2019. He’s been the mobile esports English analyst commentator for the biggest mobile esports titles in the world doing events from US, China, SEA, Korea, Australia, LATAM, and Europe for Tencent Games’ Arena of Valor and Honor of Kings, Supercell’s Clash Royale, and SEMC’s Vainglory as well as talent for Red Bull Esports and Super League Gaming.

Jeff has been a speaker on mobile esports at the World Cyber Games (WCG) Xi'an 2019, moderator for Inven Global Esports Conference 2019 on Mobile Esports: The World’s Largest Niche Community, and panel speaker at GamesBeat, PAX West, and XLive Esports Summit.
