Over the course of his career, Nakisa has worked as a strategic consultant, financial advisor, operator and investor. This diverse set of experiences has provided him the ability to fuse operational strategy and corporate finance to maximize value creation. Prior to founding BAVAFA Companies, he co-founded Fertitta Capital as CEO, and served as the CFO of Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) where he led UFC’s sale. Nakisa has also held positions with Accenture, Citi, Morgan Stanley, and the Mubadala Investment Company. Nakisa is passionate about sports and education, having established the Barbad Bidarian Athletics Excellence Awards scholarship at the University of Waterloo where he holds a BA. He also holds an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
