Steve Wyche, Reporter/analyst/host NFL Network
A native of Minneapolis, who grew up in St. Louis, Wyche has been with NFL Network since 2008. During his time there he’s held a variety of roles and, as one of the senior members of its on-air talent, serves as a lead reporter, studio analyst and host across all programming.
He’s broken and led the charge on several major stories which at NFL Network, including 49ers QB Colin Kaepnernick’s refusal to stand for the national anthem; the New Orleans Saints Bountygate scandal and the labor strife that led to a temporary lockout of NFL players. Wyche, a longtime print journalist, also serves as a senior writer for NFL.com.
The big story is something Wyche has been involved with through his career, which started in 1989 after graduating from Howard University. The NBA lockout; Michael Jordan coming out of retirement to run the basketball operation and eventually play for the Washington Wizards, to Falcons quarterback Michael Vick’s dogfighting saga, Wyche either broke or was deeply involved in reporting those nationally captivating stories.
He is the father of three sons and has been married to his wife Deann since 1993.
