Peter Hutton

Peter Hutton has travelled the world in a unique sports broadcasting career that has seen major roles with both broadcasters and agencies. He began as a 16-year-old sports reporter on local radio in Yorkshire, England commentating on football, rugby league and cricket throughout his time at Cambridge University. His TV career began with the BBC, where he worked on the Hillsborough football disaster before becoming one of the first faces on Sky Sports as a reporter/presenter for the launch of pay TV in the UK. In 1993 he became the first producer of the world distributed show ‘Futbol Mundial’ for IMG before becoming the company’s first employee in India in 1994. Based out of Delhi for 8 years, he ran groundbreaking coverage of Indian sports and Bollywood music events. In 2002 he was one of the founders of the Ten Sports channel and was CEO of the company when it was sold to Zee TV in 2010. He joined Fox International Channels to run its international sports business and joined the board of Fox Sports Africa and became managing director of Fox Sports in Asia. In 2012 he became the co-CEO of the MP and Silva agency, before leaving to become CEO of the pan European broadcaster Eurosport, where he acquired the rights to the Olympics in Europe and oversaw the first of the contracted Olympic events in South Korea. In 2018, he became Facebook’s first head of live sports. Peter lives in Paris along with his wife and 2 sons.
