Andrew Pyper is Senior Vice President US Partner & Product Marketing at Mastercard. He is responsible for leading a team tasked with developing innovative marketing programs that deliver value to Mastercard’s bank issuer and merchant partners while increasing Mastercard spend and brand preference amongst cardholders. His Product Marketing activities involve translating partner needs into go to market product strategy & marketing programs to drive B2B sales for Mastercard products and services.
Prior to joining Mastercard, Andrew was Vice President of Loyalty and Credit Marketing at Saks Fifth Avenue. In this role, Andrew’s responsibilities included management of the Saks’ loyalty program, SAKSFIRST, marketing and acquisition of the Saks Fifth Avenue World Elite MasterCard® and Saks Private Label Credit Card, the Saks Fifth Avenue Gift Card program and new customer acquisition efforts.
Andrew also spent seven years at American Express in the Merchant Services division in a variety of roles of increasing responsibility. In his last role, Andrew was Director of Client Development in the Strategic Relationship Group leading a team of Client Managers responsible for the American Express relationship with major supermarket and drug store retailers in the US.
Andrew lives in Chatham, NJ with his wife and two daughter and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies from Trinity College in Hartford, CT.
