Christian Flathman serves as Global Motorsports & Sponsorship Advisor for ExxonMobil based in Houston, TX.  In his current role, he manages a diverse portfolio of sponsorships that range from the NBA to more than 25 racing series around the world working with automotive OEMs including Porsche, GM, Toyota, Bentley and others. Before taking on his most recent role, he served as Global Spokesperson for the corporation.

Prior to joining ExxonMobil, he served as Vice President for Marketing & Communications at Georgia Southern University, a 27,000-student public four-year institution.  While there he led a team that significantly increased enrollment and retention, brand visibility and managed the institution’s athletic department’s move to Division I football and the Sun Belt Conference.

Earlier in his career, he served as Public Relations Manager for Michelin and in increasingly senior corporate communications roles at GE’s corporate headquarters and Aviation division.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from Auburn University and a master’s degree in Integrated Marketing Communications from Northwestern University.  He is extremely active in his community and is a member of the Auburn University Alumni Association Magazine Board of Directors and is a member of the Alumni Admissions Council for Northwestern University.  He is a volunteer high school football coach coaching placekickers and punters and is an avid karting racer.
