Don Garber has been the commissioner of Major League Soccer since 1999. During his tenure, the league has grown from 10 to 23 teams in the United States and Canada. Garber has added 15 new ownership groups and led the development of 15 soccer stadiums, with four more coming on line by 2020.
Garber secured long term television contracts with ESPN, FOX and Univision, along with international broadcast deals in more than 170 countries and territories.
Prior to joining MLS, Garber spent 16 years with the National Football League.
He is a member of a number of philanthropic organizations and is on the board of directors of the United States Soccer Federation.
